At the ballpark, the Tombstone faithful were treated to an intriguing
pitcher's duel. Hong-Chih Kuo(7-5) finally bested his Tombstone counterpart,
Dennis Sarfate(6-5), by the score of 4 to 0.
Jefferson Park took the lead for good in the top of the 2nd inning scoring a
single run. The early run support proved sufficient for Kuo and Jefferson
Park. That was all the run support Kuo required. The pitchers took over
after the 4th inning as neither team was able to score again.
Sarfate was the losing pitcher. He pitched 8 and 1/3 innings and surrendered
4 hits and 8 walks.
